We are about 30 min outside of Seattle but we wanted to do a quick update about our adventures this morning. We did the 4 mile (1700’ elevation change) Skyline Loop at Mount Rainier National Park. It was a beautiful 70 degree day so we did the hike in shorts and t-shirts…in SNOW UP TO OUR KNEES! It was wild. The first half of the hike was a steep and slippery climb with unbelieveable views of Mt Rainier and the surrounding peeks. The second half of the hike we grew tired of sliding all over, and falling off the downhill trail…so, Chris stifened his knees went down the trail using hiking boots as skiis. Clair opted to zip her jacket around her waist, sit down on her butt, and go stright over the face of the mountain. Our makeshift skiis and sled got us down the trail in record time and other hikers cheered at the spectacle. This will definitely be one of our more memorable hikes!
